“The studio is great for writing and pre-production or mixing of most music styles. This isn’t Abbey Road but it’s great for creative minds as it’s very beautiful to wake up and go to the studio surrounded by psalm trees with the sun flowing though the window. Very rejuvenating coming from UK where we are living on top of each other and open space is simply a luxury most people cannot afford. Here you have the best of both worlds with space, nature, studio and yet easy access back to airport and very cheap flights all year round (€50-80 euro return in low season / €70-120 rtn at peak) so to fly out musicians or get back to UK is very easy plus acccess to Barcelona is excellent because of the motorway C31 which is 7 km from our house.”

Main wall (speaker wall): 2 bass traps, 60 cm at 45 degrees with 45 mm rockwool; behind the bass trap is another layer of rockwool stuffed behind. 5 accustics panels – 2 x (100 x 100) cm wood panel with 5 cm accustic foam + 3 x (60 x 60) cm wood panel with 5 cm accustic foam.
Side walls: 2 x acoustic (60 x 60cm) wood panels with 5cm acoustic foam + (120 x 130) rockwool acoustic panel – either side of the main wall.
Back wall: having some of the 10,000-piece record collection in the studio has been useful for deadening the sound and stopping reflections (vinyl not included!)
Ceiling: 3 ceiling panels (170 x 120) with 45mm rockwool
The studio is fitted with a Mitsubishi SRK45ZMP-S air con unit that runs with no noticeable background noise on low or mid setting.
Double glazed window with metal blind to close room; 9cm sandwich door stuffed with rockwool and 25mm heavy duty OSB board plus 5 cm acoustic foam all on the inside as well as a thick curtain.
